Time to Get Clean with SOAP & WATER

Gavin and I have begun formalized training to serve in ministry. We feel called to pursue this route in even though we do not know where God is leading. Jesus said  "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"  (Luke 10:27) Therefore to better prepare and strengthen our hearts, souls, bodies, and minds, we are embarking on a 21-day quest to get clean. Although we know there is no empirical evidence supporting the 21-day habit theory, we understand creating time-bound goals are more achievable. Thus, we will be focusing on getting clean with a little SOAP & WATER over the next 21-days.
So what do we mean by getting clean with SOAP & WATER?
SOAP is a method of studying the Bible in which daily you study the Word of God and connect to your Savior. This is not a new acronym and has been around in the church community for a while. It is meant to nourish and prepare your heart and soul for the work God is calling you to do.
  • Scripture (a daily passage to study)
  • Observation (what stands out to you in the passage of Scripture)
  • Application (how you can apply that to your life)
  • Prayer (have a conversation with God)

WATER is something Gavin and I created as we were planning this cleansing process. It is meant to strengthen our bodies and minds so we can physically and mentally do the work of the Father, love others better, and love ourselves more.
  • Workout (5x a week we will do something active)
  • Accountability (we will be holding one another accountable)
  • Thankful for Today (we will be in the present, and focus on the things we are thankful for in this day, and not worry about tomorrow)
  • Eating (we will follow a no sugar no grain lifestyle)
  • Rest and reflect (we will focus on getting rest and reflecting on our SOAP & WATER)
We would love to have you join us on this journey, so if you are ready to get clean follow/subscribe and we will connect. Please pray for us as we continue to trust Him to lead us through the next 21-days and beyond. God bless you all!
